Karibu Jambiani Football Academy
Jambiani Football Academy (JFA) is a four-year-old youth football club with its own training ground since January 2026 and is officially recognised by the Zanzibar Football Federation.
Based on Zanzibar’s south-east coast, the academy gives young players a structured environment to learn football, build confidence, and grow as part of a team.
What started with a handful of boys training on the beach has grown into a community initiative supported by coaches and parents who believe sport can create opportunity.
Today, JFA welcomes both local and international children to train together, learn discipline, and develop pride in representing their community.
Meet the Team
Our squad includes more than 50 young players aged 8–15 who train together throughout the year. Most come from Jambiani and nearby villages, while others are children of international families living on the island.
Despite their different backgrounds, the players share the same passion for football. Training side by side each week helps them build friendships, confidence, and teamwork that go far beyond the pitch. While the current squad is boys, plans are underway to expand the academy and welcome girls in the near future.

Meet the Coaches
JFA is led by three dedicated coaches who have played at the highest levels in Zanzibar and abroad. Their mission is to pass on skills — and values — to the next generation. The club itself is managed by a group of committed parents, working closely with the coaches to keep the academy running smoothly.

Fees
Affordable Training
Training fees are 50,000 TZS per month or 5,000 TZS per session for expat kids, which subsidizes the costs for local kids. Contributions can be sent via mobile money to +255 66 455 0460 (Twilumba Carol - Airtel Money) or paid in cash on site.
